On August 20, 2012, many woke up to pleas, soliciting help for
Funmi Lawal to stay alive. She was diagnosed with
Malignant Sarcoma and
the cost of her full medical treatment was put at N4M. Messages on
various social media asked Nigerians to help save the life of the 2011
Unilag Law graduate.
Mavin Records CEO and prolific music producer,
Don Jazzy who’s
before now shown philanthropic tendencies, according to sources,
donated half of the money, Adding that to the money many loving
Nigerians donated to her, she will now proceed with the surgery.
